The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Saad
Mohamed Saad, a translation professor at Pablo Olavide University in
Seville, Spain, who previously held a position as a professor at the
Faculty of Arts at Cairo University. He is considered one of the leading
professors in Spanish linguistics and translation in Egypt and the
Middle East.
The lectures covered methods and techniques for
translating administrative texts, with practical examples and real-life
models provided. The importance of accuracy and professionalism in
translating official and administrative documents was emphasized, as
these aspects reflect a positive image of institutions.
The
workshop witnessed notable and diverse attendance from various Egyptian
universities, both public and private, with representatives from the
Spanish language departments at Cairo University, Helwan University,
Zagazig University, Badr University, and Egypt-Japan University of
Science and Technology.
Diversity was also evident in the age,
educational, and professional backgrounds of the attendees, including
undergraduate students, faculty members, and teaching assistants. The
workshop also welcomed several senior translators of the Spanish
language from the General Authority for Information, the UAE Embassy in
Mexico, and the Spanish Embassy in Cairo, as well as professionals in
the tourism sector.
Participants expressed their appreciation for
the efforts made in organizing this course, praising the rich
educational content that contributed to enhancing their linguistic and
translation skills. Attendees emphasized the importance of such events
in developing their professional capabilities and opening new horizons
in the job market.
At the conclusion of the course, Dr. Manar
Abd El-Moez, the center's director, distributed certificates and
expressed her deep appreciation for Dr. Saad Mohamed Saad's
participation in the center's training activities. She also expressed
pride in the high level of the participants and commended their efforts
to enhance their skills. She reaffirmed the importance of such courses
in strengthening translators' capabilities and meeting the growing
demands of the market.
